Broadway the NSA Way

The National School of the Arts presents ON THE LIST, a new original South African musical featuring the talent, energy and creative spirit of NSA’s young artists.

The story follows a young female director determined to create South Africa’s next great musical. To do so, she must find the singers, dancers, actors, comedians, musicians and dreamers with what it takes to step into the spotlight.

As the search unfolds, ambition meets truth. Relationships are tested, hidden stories come to light, and each performer must consider what it means to be seen, chosen and remembered.

Bringing together music, dance, drama and storytelling, ON THE LIST is led by a stellar creative team including Khaya Ndlovu Mpehle, Kensiwe Tshabalala, MoMo Matsunyane, Tshepang Dean, Zolani Shangase and Wilhelm Disbergen.

The production celebrates emerging talent, collaboration and the creative voices helping to shape the future of South African performance.
