Under the leadership of HOD Heather Dreyer, the annual Dance Celebration becomes a mini Festival of choreography at the end of June providing an opportunity for emerging choreographers to showcase their work with the possibility of earning a  commission to create a new work for the NSA’s FLAGSHIP dance production, DANCE SPECTRUM in 2027!

The Dance Celebration Festival will take place in the NSA Theatre over four days, 22nd – 25th June,  culminating in a Finale performance on the 25th June featuring the top choreographers from the NSA joined by the top work from the external choreographers! This is a time to showcase originality and brave creative choices in multi-genre dance works at SA’s Leading Publicly funded Art School – The National School of the Arts – School of Specialisation in Performing and Creative Arts.
