The National School of the Arts invites prospective learners to apply and audition for admission for the 2027 academic year.
As a public School of Specialisation in Performing and Creative Arts, NSA offers focused training in Art, Dance, Drama and Music alongside a strong academic programme.

Auditions take place at the NSA campus in Braamfontein. Applicants are encouraged to apply early.
Audition Schedule
Grades 8 & 9
- Drama, Dance and Music: English language proficiency test followed by auditions from 09:00 to 12:00
- Art: 09:00 to 14:30
Grades 10 & 11
- Drama, Dance and Music: 07:30 to 09:00
- Art: 08:00 to 14:30
Admission to the NSA is by auditioniand applicants must meet the academic requirements of the school.
